It Came From The Porch : Journal Index

8 May 1999:

Today has been, basically, a religious experience. Wanna see why?

Mobilians take their religion seriously. That sign says "Since 1501."

Why, lookee here. A radio station. WLVV. Hmmm. The little black guy hiding on the lefthand steps wouldn't come out and let me take his picture.

I wish I was there right now.

Stuffed shrimp. Shrimp florentine. Any of you kids never been down here, this is what you are missing. The food.

There are many more pictures to come. I had a friggin' blast today. At some points, it was damn near religious ecstasy.

There is a whole series of pictures of our HWY 90 Causeway, the stretch of road that connects Mobile with the Eastern Shore, on the way. I had to drive across it today, and I had a camera, and I had film, and it was something I'd been wanting to do... so.

The strip is populated by restaraunts, a battleship, an occasional strip club, fishing camps and spicy hot boiled crawfish on demand. It rocks for cane-pole fishing. It's coming shortly.

Meanwhile, I shot these of Trey for his graduation portraits. Was fun.

Be with ya'll in a bit.
