It Came From The Porch : Locations : Haunts

SAVAGE PHOTO LAB AND GALLERY
Custom photo lab supplying black and white and E6 processing. Strong emphasis on artistic photography, with a small gallery in the front room. You're very likely to find a Holga or a pinhole camera around, and lots of examples of alternative photo techniques. Stephen Savage has a talent for hiring attractive young women. Amy is the lab manager. Located on Old Shell just to the east of Florida.
Currently, a show from the Savannah College of Art & Design is hanging at the gallery. I don't know how much longer this show will be up, but I highly recommend you get over there and check it out. It has some amazing work from the students and faculty at SCAD.

THE DIGITAL GARAGE
Tucked away in a small industrial park, behind an exterminator's, is the best pre-press and digital video house in the area. Mark Erwin runs a tight ship. I should know, I worked for the man. These guys gave me my start in real-world prepress, back when they were Moore Digital. Since then, Mark's taken over from Ric and moved the operation to Mobile, and I've moved on to web design and multimedia work. Todd Hall and his digital video company, DigiBoy, share the building. Chris Thomas does the scanning and 3D graphics and animation, and Darrell and Chad stand around and look menacing... ok, just kidding, Darrell does prepress and Chad makes the matchprints and colorkeys.
